He is survived by: his wife Edna Probst of Mattoon, IL; his children, Sheri Sphar (Mark) of Marietta, GA and Jeff Wysocki-Probst (Jennifer) of Mattoon, IL; his grandchildren, Jake Sphar, Tyler Sphar, Chase Sphar, Colton Probst of Mattoon, IL and Boden Probst of Mattoon, IL; his brother Norman Probst (Johnna) of Chesterfield, MO; and his sister-in-law Rose Marie Probst of Mattoon, IL..
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schilling Funeral Home (1301 Charleston Ave, Mattoon, IL 61938). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (320 N 21st St, Mattoon, IL 61938).
Memorial donations in his honor may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
