Wilma L. Hancock Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 8, 2025, at the age of 83, Wilma L. Hancock of Mattoon, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael M. Smyser and Ruby Lucille Smyser (Bowen); her husband Ed Hancock; her daughter Marsha Hixson; and her close friend Howard O'Dell.
She is survived by: her sons, Gene Watts of Mattoon, IL and Lewis Snider; and her siblings, Mike Smyser (Roma) of Windsor, IL, Bob Smyser (Sue) of Toledo, IL, Marie Haskell of Allentown, PA, Erma Franklin of Charleston, IL and Gerald Smyser of Mattoon, IL.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Lytle Park (3298 Cedar Ave, Mattoon, IL 61938).
