She was predeceased by: her daughter Jennifer Pennington; her grandson Samuel; her parents, Bernice McIntosh and Michael Nimtz (Gloria); her stepfather Bobby Qualls (Laura); her grandmother Delia McIntosh; and her brother Steven Nimtz.
She is survived by: her husband Jeffery Pennington; her sons, Todd Pennington (Kristi) and Adam Pennington; her grandchildren, Morganne Kennedy (Kelli), Brylea Foutch, Destiny Hecht, Tuc, Ella, Via, Dax and Ladell; her great grandchildren, Huck, Arayah, Marley, Kylie and Kiersten; and her sisters, Diane Ressler (Gary), Deana McCormick (John), Jen Nimtz (Miriam) and Cheryl Nimtz. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at 118 Railroad St, Grand Tower, IL 62942. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials in Betty's name may be made to the Southeast Missouri Pets Adoption Center in Cape Girardeau, MO (semopets.org) or Mac's Mission in Jackson, MO (macsmission.org) and will be accepted at the church.
