He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Salerno and Susan Salerno (Volpendesta); his son Randy; and his sister Mary Ann. He is survived by: his wife Donna Frederiksen; his children, Maureen Fairchild (Wayne) and Jeffrey Salerno (Michelle); his daughter-in-law Irene Salerno (Peter Margiotta); his grandchildren, Haley, Slone, Charlie, Ashley, Kayla, Adam, Bailey and Tyler; his great grandchildren, Alexandra, Beckett, Flora and Emmett; and his sister Nancy. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (300 Pathway Ct, Crystal Lake, IL 60014). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 12:15 PM at the Crystal Lake Memorial Park (8012 Ridgefield Rd, Crystal Lake, IL 60012).
