He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Carlson and Ruth Carlson (Hallgren); and his wife Margaret Carlson. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Straulin (Jeff) and John Carlson (Amy); his grandchildren, Jefferson Straulin, Kaitlyn Straulin, Garrett Straulin, Mackenzie Straulin, Erick Carlson and Kassey Flynn (Brandon); and his brother Glenn Carlson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
