He was predeceased by: his wife Eileen Swikle (Kiehl); his parents, Charles Swikle and Florence Swikle; his parents-in-law, Benjamin Kiehl and Helena Angela Kiehl; his brother-in-law Robert "Bob" Heidkamp; his pets, Pepper, Duchess, Nouvelles (French) and Oscar Ewok Swikle; Schmidt and Winston.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Reiser, Ryan Swikle (Stacie) of Albermarle, NC and Robert "Rory" Swikle (Nicole "Nicky") of Rolling Meadows, IL.; his siblings, Nancy Heidkamp and Gary Swikle (Connie); and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Hamilton (Rich), Angela "Angie" Garrett (Greg), Kathleen Clanfield (Bill), Barb Alsup (Rick) and Benjamin Kiehl Jr. (Donna). He is also survived by his children, grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home and Crematory (591 Ridgeview Dr, McHenry, IL 60050). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (2302 W Church St, Johnsburg, IL 60051). A burial will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at the same location.
