We are sad to announce that, on January 2, 2026, at the age of 84, Riley Darrell Shands of McHenry, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Norman Arthur and Eula Alma Shands; his siblings, Ruth Cone (JT), Myrtle Poe (Sam), Wallace Shands (Joyce), David Shands, Dewey Shands, Ira Binkley (Bobby), Bonnie Dowell (Jerry), Roy Shands (Linda), James Shands (Nancy) and Louis Shands; his wife Barbara Lynn (Taylor); his child Casandra Fava (late Carl Fava Sr.); his grandchildren, Amanda Pearson (Kyle Danna), Carl Fava (Nicole Lucas) and Rylee Ann Fava (Kyle Wangler); his great grandchildren, Lydia Danna and Elliott Danna; and his family Riley. He was also cherished by his many nieces & nephews.
