He is survived by: his mother Betty Ruth Akins (Conroy); his wife Betty Akins (Wood); his children, Dylan Cottonaro (Michaela), Brandon Cottonaro, Dalton Akins (Olivia) and Hannah Parker (Damian); his grandchildren, Walker Lee Cottonaro, Jude Michael Cottonaro, Rynn Anne Cottonaro, Aurora Sweetin, Oakley Alan Parker and Jase Lee Parker; his brother Jerry Ray Akins; his mother-in-law Patti Wood; his uncle Carrold; his aunt Dorothy Atterberry; his sibling's children, Jenna Akins, Jeremy Akins and Tyler Akins; his children, Danieelle and Kyle; and his pet Cooper.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
