He was predeceased by: his parents, William Masa Partain and Irene Partain (Owen); his wife Pat Partain (Skelton); his sister Pauline; and his brother-in-law Bill Gholson.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Partain of Evansville, IN and Julie Partain (Rodney Kiefer) of Dale, IL; his grandchildren, Jacob Kiefer (Darian), Devan Elpers (Dalton), Patrick Kiefer (Alexas), Chase Partain (Jess) and Brock Bowling (Chloe); and his great grandchildren, Jace, Leddy Kiefer, Ashton, Hayden, Riley, Owen Elpers, Silas, Jovi Kiefer, Olivia Partain and baby Bowling.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Lindale Cemetery (409 Lindale Rd, Eldorado, IL 62930). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the McLeansboro Elks #1882 (207 N Jackson St, McLeansboro, IL 62859).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the McLeansboro American Legion Post #106 Honor Guard.
