It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Marvin Kirsch of McLeansboro, Illinois, who passed away on November 28, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Valentine "Val" Kirsch and Mary Anna "Annie" Kirsch (Aydt); and his wife Phillis Rossine Kirsch (Floyd). He is survived by : his children, Twyla Hungate of McLeansboro, Christopher Lueke (Angela) of Carmi, IL and Jason Kirsch (Mari) of McLeansboro; his grandchildren, Danielle Trotter, Justine Chambliss, Hannah Lueke, Lucas Lueke, Keagan Johnson, Chloe Kirsch and Oliver Kirsch; his sisters, Donna Brockett (Eugene) of McLeansboro and Marilyn Gade of Florida; and his sister-in-law Irene Zenthoefer of Lockport, LA.. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Legion Post 1126, and will be accepted at the American Legion or at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
