It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jerry Johnson (McLeansboro, Illinois), who passed away on March 4, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Paul Eugene and Bernice Johnson (Hatcher); his siblings, Paul Johnson of McLeansboro, Ruth Sheraden of Princeton and Robert Johnson of Jonesboro, Arkansas.; his wife Nancy Jean Rick; and his children, James Johnson (Susan) of Dubois, Jewel Brooks (Barry) of McLeansboro, Ricky Johnson (Barbara Dill) of McLeansboro and Kent Johnson (Deborah) of Herrin, Illinois.. He was also cherished by his wife and children along with 14 grandchildren, 2 bonus grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 1 great grandchild on the way, 2 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of McLeansboro and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
