It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Johnson of McLeansboro, Illinois, who passed away on March 7, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence E. Rick and Rose Rick (Walters); and her sister Frances Rick. She is survived by: her sisters, Sherry Dykema of Morrison, Denise Jansma-Garlough of Davenport and Beth Thompson of Morrison; her spouse Jerry Gene Johnson; and her children, James Johnson (Susan) of Dubois, Jewel Brooks (Barry) of McLeansboro, Ricky Johnson (Barbara Dill) of McLeansboro and Kent Johnson (Deborah) of Herrin, Illinois..
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of McLeansboro and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home or the church.
