She was predeceased by : her parents, Hobart Shelton and Frieda Shelton; her husband John "Jack" Hasara; her daughter-in-law Kathy Smith; her grandson Kevin Lincoln Smith; her siblings, Bud (Bonnie Shelton), Donald (Hazel Shelton), Edward Dean Shelton and Patsy; her brothers-in-law, Ralph Phelps and Lyle Conner; and her stepdaughters, Kathy Secrist and Rita Helm.

She is survived by : her sons, Terry Smith (Janet) of Eldorado, IL and Timmy Smith of McLeansboro, IL; her granddaughters, Jennifer Darnell (Kyle) of Evansville, IN and Stephanie Smith of Marion, IL; her sister Joyce Conner of Elizabethtown, IL; her sister-in-law Irene Shelton of McLeansboro, IL; her nieces, Kindra Denham of Elizabethtown, IL and Kay Morris of Harrisburg, IL; her stepchildren, Barbie Brunner (Bill) of Springfield, IL, Betty Brockschmidt (Rich) of Springfield, IL, Patricia Carnduff (Todd) of Springfield, IL, John Hasara (Sandra) of Springfield, IL and Maryann Farrell of Springdale, AR; and her stepgrandson Greg Lowery. She is also survived by numerous step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
