With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Clark of McLeansboro, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 13, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Columbus James "Doc" and Verdie Faye Clark; and his siblings, Irene (Al Kelly), Ethel (Henry Overbey), Julia "Judy" (Bob Jones), Mary (Harvey Denham), Doris (Leonard Russell), Peggy (Lindel Bell), Catherine (Leland Spradlin), Russell "Pete" Clark and Harold Clark.
He is survived by: his wife Garnet Clark of McLeansboro; his children, Rick Clark of Danville, IL, Tony Clark (Vick) of Danville and Diane Oakley of McLeansboro; his grandchildren, Jesse Clark of Danville, Anthony Clark of Danville, Chase Clark of Danville, Richard Oakley (Sarah) of Fort Moore, GA and Devon Oakley of Johnston City, IL; his great grandchildren, Brently and Axel Oakley of Fort Moore, GA; his brother Frank Clark (Sandra) of Dahlgren; and his sister-in-law Joann Clark of Belle Rive. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial donations may be made to Gholson Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses, and will be accepted at the graveside service or at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
