He is survived by: his wife Lois Mussatto of McNabb; his sons, Steven Peterson (Kristin) and Garrett Peterson (Samantha) of Peru; his sisters, Gina Kasap (Michael) of LaSalle and Lisa Serafini (Jay) of Arvada, Colorado; his grandsons, Seth Peterson of LaSalle and Cody Bisgrove of Peru; and his siblings-in-law, Ann Newell of Ottawa, Donna Christopher (Tom) of Oldsmar, Florida and Paul Mussatto of Moline. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to Nativity of Our Lord Parish in Spring Valley, the LaSalle Veterans Home, or Putnam County EMS.
