It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Kay Blackwell of Mechanicsburg, Illinois, born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on March 28, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Ralph Grossman and Kathryn Grossman (Morris); and her siblings, Larry, Ronnie, Butch, Steve, Robert, Gary, Harold, Dennis Grossman, Gloria Basil and Karen Hagaman.
She is survived by : her husband Wesley Blackwell; her children, Wesley Blackwell II and Lori Ferguson (DJ); her grandsons, Damien Blackwell (Brandi) and David Ferguson (Tiara); her great grandchildren, Caden, Zelda Ferguson, Jasmine, Saphrin and Quinn; her siblings, Jerry Grossman, Joyce Church (Darrell), Carol Etchison and Sharon Goers (Dick); and her sister-in-law Jessie Adams.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
