With solemn reverence, we commemorate Fern Darr of Medora, Illinois, whose life came to an end on June 1, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Loy and Dorothy Rigsbey (Gross); her husband Myron Darr; her son Gary; her son-in-law Ron Stanton; and her grandmother Fern.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Darr (Cynthia) of Medora, Two, Kenneth Darr (Myronna) of Medora, Two, Judy Stanton of Medora and Tammy Frazier (Ray); her grandchildren, Christina, Mike Davis (Texas), Richard, Tonya (Gray), Katie, Brian Schuessler (Bethalto), Kendra Thornsbury (Jerseyville), Callie Darr (Jerseyville), Keegan, Jordan Darr (Crawford) of Texas, Jared, Chelsea (Ross), Adam, Lauren (Baker), Bryce Medford (O'Fallon), Chealsie, Caleb Elliott (Arizona), Danny Abbott (Palmyra) and Angela Hunter (Texas); her aunt Wanda Gross; her sister-in-law Geraldine Cox; and her aunt Fern. She is also survived by Thirty-two great-grandchildren, Four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church (107 Jefferson St, Medora, IL 62063). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jersey County Historical Society.
