It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Lopez (Melrose Park, Illinois), who passed away on May 16, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Luis Lopez; and his parents, Felipe Lopez and Herlinda Lopez. He is survived by: his wife Josefina Lopez; his children, David Lopez Jr. (Jacqueline), Nancy Medina (Antonio), Nora Monreal (Orlando Arce) and Hector Lopez (Neida Rivera); his grandchildren, Jasmine Rector (Kenneth), Trey Lopez (Jen), Bianca Medina (Ariel Contreras), Tyler Lopez, Antonio D. Medina (Jennifer Muszczynski), Gabriela Monreal, Veronica Monreal and Alexandria Monreal; and his great grandchildren, Kiana Rector, Kenrick Rector, Liam Lopez, Grayson Lopez and Tilly Lopez.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (1101 23rd Ave, Melrose Park, IL 60160). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Our Lady of Mt Carmel Catholic Church (1101 23rd Ave, Melrose Park, IL 60160). A burial was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery (1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
