She was predeceased by: her parents, Vincenzo Contacessi and Antoinetta Contacessi; her husband Valentino Carbonara; her son Vito Carbonara; her brothers, Ralph Contacessi (Jan) and John John Contacessi; and her nieces and nephews, Lino, Jimmy, Isabella (Scott), Jessie and Rachel (Garrett).
She is survived by: her children, Aurora "Laura" Lagioia (Rocco), Stella Lagioia (Rosario Lorusso), Michael Lagioia (Carmelina Laudando) and Giovanni Carbonara; her sister Maryanne Mastrodomenico (Gaetano); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Maria, Alex, Victoria, Gaetano, Scotty, Bella and Sophia; her pet Leo; Sophie and Redding.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Carbonara Funeral Home (1515 25th Ave, Melrose Park, IL 60160). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 9:15 AM at the same location. An entombment will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 10:45 AM at the St. Isadore Church.
