It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerome Broekema (Melrose Park, Illinois), who passed away on December 21, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Jerome may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Jerome touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Rose; his siblings, Ted, Claud and Ann; and his nieces and nephews, Geraldine, Lisa, Tony and Bobby.
