He was predeceased by: his grandfather Richard Ward. He is survived by: his parents, Roger Hopps and Jill Hopps (Ward) of LaMoille; his wife Laura Rieker of LaMoille; his pet Mia; his siblings, Ashleigh Hussey (Nate) of St. Louis, Alyssa Hopps of LaMoille, Baylee Hopps of LaMoille and Raeann Stouffer (Mark); his parents-in-law, Lonnie and Linda Rieker of Ohio, Illinois; his sisters-in-law, Brenna Rieker of Ohio and Rachel Rieker of Ohio; his grandparents, Joan Ward of Van Orin, Ron and Marilyn Hopps (Knowlton); his niece Evelyn Hussey; and his nephews, Walter Hussey and Charlie Hussey. He is also survived by many cousins, aunts and uncles.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the LaMoille Fire Department or the family.
