She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Hochstatter and Mary Ellen Hochstatter (Granfield); her husband James "Stymie" Schmitt; her siblings, Bernice Killelea, Lorraine Henkel, Marilyn McInerney, Patrica Love, Curtis, Benny, Marty, Wilmer, Paul, Harold, LaVerne, Raphael, Greg and Norbert; and her foster brothers, Rich and Ron Milazzo.
She is survived by: her children, Jim Schmitt (Wendy), Dan Schmitt (Jenny Bumba) and Lisa Corcoran (John); her grandchildren, Kelsey (Sebastian), Lauren (Justin), Austin and Alexis; her sister Jeanne Hochstatter; and her sister-in-law Arlene Schmitt of Mendota.
