He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Berger and Frances Berger; his son James (Jimmy); his grandson William (Billy); and his brothers, Robert and Frank.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Berger (Vermillion); and his children, Susan Moore-Berger, Chuck Berger (Connie) and Peggy Sorenson (Steven). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Horner-Merritt Funeral Home (800 Monroe St, Mendota, IL 61342). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
