It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Earl Wayne Gibbs of Mendota, Illinois, born in Harrisburg, Illinois, who passed away on June 4, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Gibbs and Gertrude Gibbs (Mattingley); and his siblings, Iva Meadows, Myrtle Wren, Clarence, James, Matthew, George, Junior, Charles, Willis, John and Bob (Leonard).
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Gibbs (Vicky) of Ohio, Jim Gibbs of Ohio, Larry Gibbs (Kim) of Ohio and Juanita Strange (Jim) of West Virginia; and his brother Billy Gibbs of Mendota. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
