He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Latchford of Mendota; his grandson James Latchford of Mendota; his brother Lawrence Gehant (Charlotte) of Harvard; his sister-in-law Tina Pocius (Kevin) of Mendota; and his nieces and nephews, Tim Gehant, Jamie Lewis, Pamela Gehant, Kristy Schnidt and Chastie Schafer. He is also survived by 8 great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Family Home (695 N 44th Rd, Mendota, IL 61342).
