It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerome C. Henkel (Mendota, Illinois), born in Streator, Illinois, who passed away on April 20, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Jerome is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Henkel and Lorraine Henkel (Hochstatter). He is survived by: his children, Dea Karns, Kory Wood (Bill), Ron Karns (Carol), Ryan Karns and Jacob Henkel (Rebecca); and his sisters, Maureen Weber (Bob) of Sublette, Sue Hahn (Lindy) of Peru, Jeanne Schlesinger (Gale) of Cedar Rapids, IA., Pam Henkel of Mendota and Shelly Henkel of Mendota. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren.
