It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois L. Carr of Mendota, Illinois, who passed away on July 9, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Shaver and Clara Shaver (Baughman); her husband Robert Carr; her son Donald Dennis Carr; and her brothers, Harold Shaver and Glenn Shaver Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Dave Carr (Donna), Chris Goodbred (Rich), Dan Carr (Dorothy) and Darrel Carr (Tina); and her grandchildren, Duane Carr (Amanda), Daren Carr (Julie), Dennis Carr (Denise), Kelly Sheaves, Matthew Goodbred (Gina), Michael Goodbred (Becky), Kim Wolgast (Adam), Brittany Ohlendorf (Eric) and Justin Carr. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Horner-Merritt Funeral Home (800 Monroe St, Mendota, IL 61342). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
