With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Marcella Bonnell of Mendota, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Marcella left this world on August 8, 2025 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Malach and Leafy Malach (Gehant); her granddaughter Gabrielle; and her siblings, James, Thomas Malach, Jane Dillenburg, Frances Powers, Claudia Fruin and Billy.

She is survived by: her husband Allen C. Bonnell of Mendota; her children, JoEllyn Gahan (Steve) of Mendota and Stephen Bonnell (Monica) of Brentwood, TN.; her grandchildren, Evan Gahan, Kennedy Gahan (Aidan Rockarts), Olivia Zwierzchowski (Tyler), Cecilia Bonnell and Sophia Bonnell; and her sister-in-law Sharon Malach.

Memorials may be directed to Mendota Area Senior Services-M.A.S.S.
