We bid farewell to Nancy A. Doughty of Mendota, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 10, 2025 at the age of 80. Nancy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Sondgeroth and Mary Catherine Sondgeroth (Happ); her husband Wes Doughty; and her son Gregory. She is survived by: her sons, Jeff Doughty (Sherry) of Mendota, Brian Doughty (Molly) of Utica and Barry Doughty (Dixie) of Sublette; her grandchildren, Erin Sester (Aaron), Patrick Doughty, Conner Doughty (Abby), Donovan Doughty (Brenna Boyer), Shea Doughty, Evan Doughty, Sarah Doughty and Tyler Doughty (Allie Craig); and her siblings, Jim Sondgeroth (Lynn) of Peru, Donna Loomis of Mendota, Dale Sondgeroth (Karen) of Columbia, IL, Jean Simkins (Roger) of Mendota, Tom Sondgeroth (Sandy) of Mendota, Roger Sondgeroth (Teri) of Mendota, Judy Happ (Doug) of Coralville, IA and Connie McCully of Mendota. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (1010 Jefferson St, Mendota, IL 61342). Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Holy Cross Church (1010 Jefferson St, Mendota, IL 61342). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 3:30 PM at the same location.
