He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harry Magelitz and Maxine Magelitz (Rausch); his wife Carleen Knop of Steeleville, IL; his children, Brian (Shaye) of Bluffs, John (Candace) of Alexandria, VA, Carolyn Umbricht (Mark) of Raleigh, NC and Michael of St. Louis, MO.; his grandsons, Sean Magelitz of Arenzville and Zach Magelitz of Bluffs; and his brothers, David Magelitz (Judy) of Jacksonville and Robert Magelitz (Ellen) of Jacksonville. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations are suggested to Salem Lutheran Church, where he was an active member.
