He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert F. Harbers and Magdeline Harbers (Engst); his wife Hildegard Mary "Hilda" Rohman; his brother Robert; and his sister-in-law Roberta Harbers.
He is survived by: his children, Douglas Harbers (Dean) of Roseburg, OR, Margaret Kramer (Charles) of Appleton, WI, Gregory Harbers (Diane) of Deland, FL, David Harbers of East Peoria, IL, Jane Puhl (George) of Germantown Hills, IL, Amy McClintock (Dan) of Orland Park, IL and Mark Harbers (Cathy Choi) of Bargersville, IN; and his friend Harriet Glogowski of Addison, IL.. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren.
