Donald C. Strieder Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald C. Strieder of Metamora, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 30, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie Hutt; his parents, George Strieder and Lela Strieder Sr. (Ehringer); his siblings, Ken Strieder and Shirley Scurto; and his siblings-in-law, Sam Scurto, Roger Bachman, Edna DeMoss, Sharon Rauh and Jackie Girbert.
He is survived by: his son Jeffery; his pet Sadie; his siblings, Joe, George Strieder, Mary Brandenburg (Chuck), Carole Gendron and Kathy Bachman; and his brother-in-law Glenn Rauh. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (904 E Lake Ave, Peoria Heights, IL 61616). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. Mary's Cemetery (421 N Sterling Ave, West Peoria, IL 61604).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, ALSAC, 4722 North Sheridan Road, Peoria, IL 61614.
