He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. H. W. Riggert and Mae Riggert (Aders); and his brother H. Douglas Riggert. He is survived by: his wife Laura A. Schirer; his children, Dr. Deborah Riggert-Kieffer (Bruce) of Cazenovia, Illinois and Charles Richard Riggert (Sandra) of Metamora, Illinois; and his grandchildren, Autumn Renee Barker (Zachary) of Eureka, Illinois and William Hans Riggert of Metamora, Illinois..
