Alkire; her children, Marc Alkire (Sue) of Holly Springs, NC, Kim Engel of Battle Creek, MI and Kathy Bower (Gerry) of Garden Ridge, TX.; and her grandchildren, Danielle, Kyle of North Carolina, Cody, Kayla of Michigan, Nathan of Ontario and Sierra of Texas. She is also survived by six great‑grandchildren.
