The memory of Hazel Virginia Munson of Metamora, Illinois, who passed away on April 25, 2026 at the age of 89, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Gebbhart and Alice Alma Harris (Hosea); her son Charles Koenig; her grandson Caleb Brown; her great grandchild Remington Aaron; and her sister Carol Anthrup.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Matlock (Rollie) of Jackson, MO, Marlya Kelley (David) of Jackson, MO, Rodney Brown (Casey) of Jackson, MO, Christy Burgmann (Wayne) of Metamora, IL, Cindy Siedel (Chris) of Metamora, IL and Cathy Munson of Metamora, IL; her niece Junion Seabaugh; her grandchildren, Isabelle and Mason; her siblings, Mary Ann Seabaugh of St. Louis, MO and Gene Harris (Donna) of Butler, IN; Ashley. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 29th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel (1001 N Mt Auburn Rd, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 29th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
