Richard E. Steele Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard E. Steele of Metamora, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 16, 2025 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Richard may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Steele and Delores I. Steele (Medaris). He is survived by: his wife Kathy M. Meis of Metamora; his children, Dr. Kellie Steele of Madison, WI and Ryan Steele of Springfield, IL; and his brother Jim "Rusty" Steele of Fairfield, IA..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Christian Union Church (925 W Walnut St, Metamora, IL 61548).
