He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Cotton and Bernice Cotton (Meismer); and his brother-in-law Rod Rodich. He is survived by: his daughters, Roben Cotton (Mick) of Metamora and Stephanie Haney (Bradley) of Metamora; his grandchildren, Dustin Cotton, Collin Haney, Nikolas Haney and Ashley Hart; and his sister Beth Rodich of Collinsville, IL..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital Midwest Affiliate, 530 NE Glen Oak Avenue, Peoria, IL 61637.
