He was predeceased by: his father Archie Monroe Lyles; his stepmother Velma King; his mother Edna Elizabeth Williams (Scruggs); his stepfather Ralph Williams; and his sisters, Virginia High, Bette Dugard, Evelyn Ryan and Katherine Hutchinson.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Lyles; his children, Archie "Mac" Lyles, Randy Lyles (Heidi) and Chandra Lyles; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Lyles, Chloe Lyles and Camden Lyles; his stepgrandchildren, Joe Rubitschung, Luke Rubitschung and Capri Rubitschung; his great grandchild Rowan Divit; and his sisters, Vicky Maddox, Phyllis Sutton and Katie Fuqua. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
