He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Korte and Dorothy Korte. He is survived by: his wife Florence Korte; his children, Sherry Hunerkoch (Phil), Rob Korte (Charla) and Chuck Korte (Beth); his grandchildren, Ashley Browning (Zack), Adam Hunerkoch (Halie), Dustin Korte (Chanler), Dalton Korte (Sarah), Chase Korte (Maci Blackwell), Emma Korte and McKinnley Korte; his great grandchildren, Max Browning, Cooper Browning, Palmer Hunerkoch, Tate Hunerkoch, Ty Korte, Charlie Ann Korte, Lila Grace Korte and Everett Korte; and his sister Donna Sue Kinkade (Lawrence). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Southern IL or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
