It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Connie Garduno Mathis of Metropolis, Illinois, born in Saint Charles, Illinois, who passed away on June 14, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, Kathryn McDonald of Metropolis, Jeannie Ng (Ferdinand) of Metropolis, Dorothy Stump (Lee) of Metropolis and Mike Szymanski (Molly) of Waupaca, Wisconsin; her grandchildren, Keith McDonald, Isaiah Byrne, Jacob Byrne, Samuel LaRose, Alexandria Simon, Ashley Cooper, Skyler Cooper, Jordan Moreno, Nelsa Stump, Jeffery Stump, Janie Stump, Tammy Farmer, Briana Szymanski, Timothy Szymanski, Alyssa Szymanski, Kaylee Szymanski, Adam Cohrs, Jared Crum and Krystal Crum; and her siblings, Dorothy Szymanski of Crystal Lake, Robert Garduno of Joppa, Mike Garduno of Forrest, Brenda Joy of Searcy, Nancy Harvill of Olmsted, Susan Garduno of Metropolis, Donnie Garduno of Paducah and Lora Bradford of Metropolis, Illinois. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
