The memory of Darell Holcombe of Metropolis, Illinois, who passed away on December 5, 2025 at the age of 68, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Darell leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Darell may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Holcombe and Dorothy Holcombe (Leek). He is survived by: his sister Virginia Harrison (Paul); and his nephews, Timothy Harrison (Jennifer) and Philip Harrison (Misty). He is also survived by five grand nephews; a great grand-niece; a great grand-nephew, several cousins, and many good friends.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Metropolis Memorial Gardens (2824 North Ave, Metropolis, IL 62960).
