Though Doris may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Doris touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eddie Stevenson and Ruth Stevenson; and her husband Russell. She is survived by: her daughter Leah; her son-in-law Jonathan of Colorado; and her grandchildren, Nina of Denver and Dylan of Cambridge.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Zion Evangelical Church (1132 Country Club Rd, Metropolis, IL 62960). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
