We bid farewell to Elgie Rottmann (Metropolis, Illinois), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 5, 2025 at the age of 91. Elgie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Rottmann and Magda Rottmann; his siblings, Richard (Shirley Rottmann), Donald (Kay Rottmann) and Alfredia; and his siblings-in-law, Paul Horman, Gordon Trovillion, Eddie Trovillion, Mike (Linda Trovillion), Walt Trovillion, Donna Diron Trovillion and Martha Borys.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Trovillion; his children, Steve Rottmann (Amanda), Janet LaVeau (John) and Russ Rottmann (Lori); his grandchildren, Landon, Lyla, Lowen, Lawson, Locke, Lorelai, Langston, Laredo, Leeland, LornaRae Rottmann, Macy LaVeau, Hayden LaVeau, Emily Windhorst (Jordan), Ethan Rottmann (Rachelle Cox) and Ellie Rottmann (Eli Jacobs); his great grandchild Blaire Ellori Windhorst; and his siblings-in-law, Becky Brust, Chris Shepler (Hank), Ella Trovillion and Bud Trovillion. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
