She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Cagle and Mozelle Cagle; her siblings, Alice Betty Compton, Mary Bremer, Bill Cagle, Helen Parr and Jackie Cagle; and her husband Dr. Harry W. Abell of Brookport.
She is survived by: her son Andy Abell (Hania) of Potomac, Maryland; her grandchildren, Molly Smith (Clayton), Mitchell, Isaac, Isla and Evan Abell; her great grandchildren, Cooper English and Elliott Smith; Rick (Pris) and Kim Abell of Metropolis.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home (70 Jon St, Metropolis, IL 62960). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
