We bid farewell to Gladly Blaine of Metropolis, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 14, 2025 at the age of 89. Gladly touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the vast expanse of eternity, Gladly shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Gladly farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Galen Blaine and Odessa Blaine (Croft); his son-in-law Clay Stewart; his sister Galena Dalton; and his parents-in-law, William G. and Mary C. Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Blaine (Martin); and his children, Debbie Turner (Gary), Pam Stewart and Brian Blaine (Tina). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
