It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmie C. Gibson of Metropolis, Illinois, who passed away on April 15, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, James Gibson and Estell Gibson (Jones); his former life partner Cavida Gibson; and his grandparents, Knox and Mae Jones.

He is survived by : his wife Doris Gibson; his stepdaughter Stacey Leek; and his stepgrandchildren, Braxton, Ady and Zoey. He is also survived by 1 sister; 2 brothers; and several nieces and nephews.
