He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Rushing and Betty Rushing (Gilbert); his brothers, Ronnie and Roger Turner; and his great grandchild Joe Luke Wiley.
He is survived by: his wife Tina Rushing (Myrick); his siblings, Jack Rushing (Sue), Jerry Rushing (Sherry) and Tammy Rushing; his daughter Connie Jo Wiley (Rushing); his grandsons, Dalton Wiley, Dylan Wiley (Cassidy) and Dexton Wiley; and his great grandchildren, Avalee Wiley, Gannyn Wiley, Cayson Wiley, Colesyn Wiley and Emersyn Wiley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Loftus-McManus Funeral Homes Inc. (70 Jon St, Metropolis, IL 62960). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be given in Joe's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
