It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John L. Sullivan of Metropolis, Illinois, who passed away on June 23, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Coy Sullivan and Flora Sullivan; his children, Michael Anderson and Louetta Marie Sullivan; and his siblings, Floyd Sullivan, Donald Gene Sullivan, Louise Reed, Valda Johnson, Jane Williams and Genevieve May.

He is survived by : his wife Wanda Sullivan of Metropolis, IL; his children, Donnie Rentfro of Joppa, IL, Danny Sullivan of Metropolis, IL, Brian Sullivan of Metropolis, IL, Kevin Sullivan (Sharon) of Metropolis, IL, Johnny Sullivan of Metropolis, IL, Don E. Sullivan (Martha) of Brookport, IL, Ben Edward Anderson of Brookport, IL, Charles David Anderson (Millette Burns) of Paducah, KY, Belinda Sullivan of Metropolis and Paula Anderson of Brookport; and his siblings, Roger Sullivan (Ann) of Metropolis, Lindell Sullivan (Mary) of Hamilton, OH, Neva Hicks (Joe) of Metropolis, Alice Shelby of Metropolis and Brenda Langford (Randy) of Metropolis. He is also survived by several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
