He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Wells (Wells); his parents, Ernest Ramsey and Kathleen Ramsey (Burklow); his son Michael Ramsey; his siblings, Bessie Helm and Larry Ramsey; and his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Sullivan, Don Sullivan, James Giltner and Floyd Helm.
He is survived by: his son Shawn Ramsey (Valerie); his daughter-in-law Patricia Ramsey; his grandchildren, Andrew Ramsey, Jacob Ramsey and Samantha Ramsey; his sister Bonnie Giltner; and his nieces and nephews, Kelley Sullivan, Leslie Grant, Lea Ann Flood, Steve Helm, Don Helm, Brian Giltner and Bruce Giltner.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Metropolis Memorial Gardens (2824 North Ave, Metropolis, IL 62960).
