He is survived by: his wife Nadine McCree Jeffords; his children, Kelvin Jeffords Sr. (Kathy Myers Bush) of Harrisburg, Illinois and Rhonda Quinn (John) of Grand Rivers, Kentucky; his daughter-in-law Patty Jeffords of Dixon Springs, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Kelvin Jeffords Jr. (Rachael) of Paducah, Melvin Jeffords III (Rebecca) of Grantsburg, Aaron Jeffords of Dixon Springs and Audrey Gainey (Hunter) of Tiline, Kentucky.; his great grandchildren, Kennadi McKendree (Gavin) of Metropolis, Kane Jeffords of Grantsburg, Brenna Jeffords, Hunter Jeffords of Dixon Springs, Ava Quinn and Hutson Gainey of Tiline, Kentucky.; his great great grandchild Rynlee McKendree of Metropolis, Illinois.; his brother Alan Jeffords of Brookport, Illinois; his sister-in-law Barbara McCree of St. Louis, Missouri; and his aunt Peggy Anderson of Goreville. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Loftus-McManus Brookport Funeral Home (70 Jon St, Metropolis, IL 62960). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
